Every project we run follows the same end-to-end process, regardless of whether it’s qualitative, quantitative, or a specialty area – from initial brief through to final recommendations. Here’s what that process actually looks like.

Design

Every project starts with understanding what you’re actually trying to learn, then designing the right methodology to get there – not defaulting to a standard template because it’s familiar. This includes choosing between qualitative and quantitative approaches, or combining both, based on your objective.

Implementation

Fieldwork, delivered properly – whether that’s running interviews and focus groups, distributing surveys, or coordinating a multi-site research programme. As a research consultancy, we manage the practical realities of getting genuine responses from the right people, not just theoretical study design.

Data entry

Accurate, clean data capture that sets up everything that follows – errors introduced at this stage compound through analysis and reporting, so it’s treated as a genuine step in the process, not an afterthought.

Analysis

Turning raw responses into meaning – statistical analysis for quantitative data, thematic analysis for qualitative research, always tied back to your original objective rather than analysis for its own sake.

Interpretation

Numbers and themes on their own don’t tell you what to do next – interpretation is where we connect findings back to your business context, so results are meaningful in light of your specific situation, not generic observations.

Recommendations

Every project concludes with clear, actionable recommendations – not just a summary of what was found, but genuine direction on what to do about it. This is what separates a useful research services provider from one that just delivers data.

Common questions

Do you handle the whole process, or just parts of it?

We handle the full process end-to-end – design, implementation, data entry, analysis, interpretation, and recommendations – with one senior researcher overseeing the project throughout, so nothing gets lost between stages.

Can you join a project partway through, e.g. just for analysis?

Yes – while we typically run projects end-to-end, we can also step in for a specific stage, such as analysis of existing data, depending on what you need.

How is this different from just running a survey or focus group?

A survey or focus group is one stage within research services – the implementation. This page covers the full process around it: design that gets the methodology right, and analysis and interpretation that turn results into something you can actually act on.
